Hello, my name is Scott Mikkelsen.

Thank you for visiting my humble photo gallery. Here you will find a multitude of photos from various parts of the magnificent "Last Frontier." I fell in love with Alaska, and combined it with my love for beautiful photography to create many images that I am very proud of to call my own. I hope that you will find enjoyment in viewing the photos presented here.

For faster viewing, all images displayed on this site are low-resolution versions made from the originals. All photos are available for purchase, either from the secure automated system on this site or by special request. Ordering prints in a variety of sizes and textures from this site is very easy, just click on the "Add to Cart" button above a displayed photo and follow the instructions. The quality of ordered prints is always much better in real life than displayed here on the web.

I am always making some updates to the site, adding some things and changing others. I would love to hear any opinions you may have on the setup and/or changes. I am open to suggestion and criticism, as long as it's not too harsh... :)

I have lived in Alaska for nearly a decade; however, due to medical problems I will be moving back to where I was born and raised, Northern Utah. While I have been here, Alaska has been a wonderful and adventurous home. I will truly miss its rugged, story-book beauty; however, I will miss my good friends even more. Mark, you're an outstanding, gifted photographer and an awesome friend. RC, thank you for welcoming me into your family with open arms, and for all the help that you gave me. I'll miss you deeply Pappa Bear.
